Soccer Wall review

Soccer Wall is a gaming app that tests your ability to use your fingers to get the soccer ball on your screen into a hole. It was developed by Florian Liefers, costs $0.99, and is compatible with an iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad.

One of the best features of this app is that you have to unlock each level progressively. In order to get to level two, you must first complete level one with a set amount of points. There are four levels total: In the Backyard, The Streets, Training Ground, and Stadium. The basic challenge is flicking the ball into a high hole and a low hole as many times as you can within a minute.

Each level starts with a wall with two holes in it. For each challenge that you complete, you receive a trophy plaque with a crest design on it. The trophies are located in the Locker section of the app. It is actually quite difficult to play this game. You have to focus on aiming the ball and giving it the right amount of force so that it will go through the cut out. It would probably be easier to play this game in real life. Actually kicking a ball through a hole in a wall seems easier to me after playing with Soccer Wall for hours and not getting past level one (my fingers are aching). As you play you can discover certain combos that will add more time to the clock. There are 3 goals to achieve and in order to move up a level you need to complete 2 out of the 3. The goals are, getting the ball in the upper hole 2 times in a row, getting the ball through the lower hole 2 times in a row, or getting four shots—upper, lower, upper, lower—all in a row. If, unlike me, you happen to be proud of the progress you are making with Soccer Wall, you can share it with your friends on Facebook via the Settings section.

In one word, Soccer Wall is a quest. I do not really find it enjoyable, simply because I am so bad at it. If you love a good challenge and you feel confident in your finger’s skill of precision then check this app out.
