Google Latitude is now available as a web based application via the Safari browser on your iPhone or iPod touch. Latitude is a new service from Google that lets you see location and status of your friends both on a map and and as a list. The Google Latitude webapp can help you staty in touch with your friends and family and share your location with them and also find out about their location and latest activities.

Latitude for your iPhone means you can now add friends, view their location on a map, send them messages to schedule lunch or a meeting and much more from a single free source. Latitude for iPhone also allows you to view traffic, search for businesses, and, of course, effortlessly update your own location. Latitude gives you control over privacy settings such as who can see your location and how exactly it is plotted on their map.
