The latest in the list of iPhone optimized portals is Weather Underground who has just released their iPhone user interface. The main page is very simple with only a search form. Enter a Zip Code or City name and the app will display the weather for the city, or show you a list of cities to choose from.

The second time you load the app a list of your Recently Viewed Locations is shown to you which is nice. On the result page you see the full weather report including current weather, radars, forecast and warnings. You can choose whether to see the radar animated or not. You get all weather details including sunrise, sunset, and the observation location. The forecasts are written in narrative format.

Compared to Weather Channel or Weather Bug the Weather Underground offering is a simple app without too many frills, but it gets the job done. Try with TestiPhone
