Tweetero is an open source Twitter client for Apple iPhone and iPod Touch put forth by the folks at ImageShack. This app has been released as an open source project in hopes that the open source community will participate in the evolution of this product, and possibly spawn other projects based on this code.

This app will let you view tweets from people you follow, post and view replies, and the list of your followers/following peeps, and take and send pictures, and even supports delayed posts and uploads using a backlog queue.

Other unique features include:
- Disable/Enable mobile notification per user
- Send/Receive direct messages
- Automatically recognize in tweets and show in a full-screen image viewer URLs pointing to pictures posted at yfrog.com.
- Optionally include location information in tweets
- Display user information
- Re-tweets (following RT: convention)
- Forward tweets by email

The first version has been submitted to the Apple App Store and should be available there (for free!) soon.
