Signal is iPhone software that turns your iPhone into an advanced wireless remote control for iTunes on your Mac or iTunes, Winamp, or Windows Media Player on your PC. Control playback, browse or search your media library, and edit playlists from anywhere in the house - all from the palm of your hand. Download a demo version of Signal for Mac or Windows.
The full version costs $29.95. The demo version has all features enabled and no time limit. Instead, it will display a “please register” message for one third of the items in your media library. This limitation will be removed immediately after purchasing and entering a license key. Read more and download trial here

Fantastic, will be buying. Feature needed: the ability to customize to some degree the intranet url, as I think a number of friends will be doing the same — this leads to problems at functions (multiple users vying for control/playing around).

Posted on October 9th, 2007 at 6:29 pm by JohnnyJust downloaded this and I am very pleased. This is EXACTLY what I’ve been looking for since I bought my AirPort Express! No more running to the computer to skip a song, just fire up your iPod touch, browse to the URL, and click skip. So easy!
