SpoofCard.com is a controversial paid service that will fake your Caller ID when you call someone. The company sells the service at $10 for 60 minutes.
This iPhone app that will call you back at the number you enter and spoof your Caller ID using the SpoofCard service. There app offers a free sample call to try the service. Sample calls are limited to 2 minutes and do not include SpoofCard’s voice changer or call recording features. Use at your own risk!
To use this app you need to enter 3 different phone numbers:
1. Your Number: This is the number you are actually calling from.
2. Number To Call: This is the number you want to call.
3. Desired Caller ID: This is the fake number you want shown as the Caller ID to the Number to Call in step 2.
You will then get a phone call from SpoofCard at “Your Number”. Pick it up. You are instructed to Press 1. Once you do that, the call is put through to the “Number to Call” with the “Desired Caller ID” you’ve chosen.
As a side note: You can easily block your Caller ID at any time with any phone. For USA Dial *67 before you dial the number, or dial *82 to unblock for a given call. In the United Kingdom Dial 141.
