MSN Mobile

Although Microsoft has not jumped on the iPhone apps bandwagon yet, you can access their Mobile webapp portal which links to a slew their apps including Hotmail, Search, Messenger, Spaces, Local, Live.com, MSNBC News, FOX Sports, Weather, Money and more by browsing to mobile.msn.com in the Safari browser on your iPhone or iPod touch.

Update: Windows Live Messenger is the official free app for iPhone users that lets you check your Hotmail as well as chat using MSN Live with Windows Live Messenger.

  1. the best iPhone messenger is beejive bee talk!!!!! Try it

  2. meebo is better…and its optimized for iphone/ipod touch

  3. I am trying to connect my msn with iphone. I currently have a bellsouth account which I can connect but I cannot forward my msn email to bellsouth.

Izymail did not work for me and now they have denied me any access to their site.

    Please help!

  4. simply can I get anything to go on MSN and read my hotmail from iPod touch if so what do you recomend thanks alot

  5. Currently, the only way to access your Hotmail from the iPhone or iPod touch is to use IzyMail.com. The paid version is about $20/per year. Sign up for an account at IzyMail.com, they have a free trial version. After you setup your account, you can either use MailCoaster to read your Hotmail from your iPod touch Safari browser, or if you have an iPhone, you can even setup a POP3 Hotmail account in Mail.app on your iPhone using IzyMail. Better yet just get a Gmail account and get free POP3 and IMAP and Webmail access for your iPhone or iPod touch.

  6. heysan is the best IM for iPhone/itouch. Not only can u use MSN, but also ICQ and yahoo! Btw, to access hotmail emails on iPhone/itouch, you can always go to the hotmail site and sign in there.

    Ps Written on an iPhone

  7. Beejive Is By Far The Best

  8. some bitch at my school blocked this site are there any other sites?

  9. you could use meebo. http://www.meebo.com or ebuddy http://www.ebuddy.com I would say meebo is better there are some things you can’t do: change your name, add people, block people, you don’t get all the smielys.

    Ps.
    I’m using my iPod touch

  10. I just got BeeJive today and it is definaly THE BEST out of all of those. I’ve tried other IMing sites for my iPod touch, but you have to refresh all of those. With BeeJive you can IM on real time, you don’t ever have to refresh the page, its just like IMing on your computer!!!! Thank you BeeJive.
    Written on an iPod touch.

  11. beejive messenger is the best its just the same as MSN

  12. Maybe get a Life?
You don’t have to be on Msn everywhere.

  13. maybe stop being a dick?
People have many different reasons as to why they want/need to be on msn…. If you don’t want the app then don’t download it….. And if you aren’t interested in msn on the iPhone then why are you on this forum? Talk about not having a life….

  14. to: Loves2Spooge
im afrain i am in agreeance with “Loves2SpoogeSucks” there are hundreds of reasons why someone may want to use msn while not at home or simply they don’t want to take their laptop to starucks with them or simply because they would rather pay nothing to talk on msn than pay to send a text message.
moving on to my next point; in responce to your inappropriate dig at iphone users to “get a life” this seems rather contradictuary as we are on here for constructive purpuses to seek answers to relevant questions…as you clearly are not a fan of having msn in an iphone (if you even have one, if not this srtenghtens my next point furthur)then why are you on here? by your boasts it sounds like your life style doesnt allow for time to pursue pointless errands. addmittantly i am only responding to your comment out of boredem and im not to insecure to say i have nothing better to do at this time. So please “Loves2Spooge” dont come on here giving it all this about having no lives, nobody wants to hear it, if yo must joke do it with your friends but do not come on here trying to cover up your own insecureties with pointless unconstructive comments..also i dont want to turn this in to an arguement so just read and then get on with your exciting, dramatic life of commening on forums that you have no interest in, and let us get on with it. 🙂

  15. haha true dat.
” loves2Spooge” is just jealous cuz he doesn’t have any friends to talk to on msn.

  16. oh i love american humour.

  17. perhaps the funniest part is that im English.

  18. on the iPhone, Tried to use those three:
    BeeJive
    Meebo
    ebuddy

I am unable to login using MSN, because, i am trying to use my own passport address which is not supported. so it had to be hotmail.com or msn.com it own.

  19. Palringo is now available at the apps store. You can access your msn through their account. No offline message support yet. But works well so far.

  20. How much does using msn on the iPhone cost? Caus in australia the plan Im getting is $39 worth of calls / text and 500Mb of downloads.

    Any ideas?

  21. In the UK its £35 a month for 600 mins 500 text and unlimited dater and low cost roaming charges

  22. Have any of you managed to logon the MSN using your passport account?

    lemme know pls ta

  23. doest it cost anythig like do they charge you for every instante message u send? is it TOTALLY free?

  24. Why is it so hard to find the full MSN home page on my iphone?
Mobile is limited and this just continues to add to reasons not to deal with microsoft stuff anymore.
I can start to talk about the problems with upgrading to Vista…

  25. vincent vega your reply was just so well written and what can I say just Sexy

  26. meebo or beejive are the best don’t use ebuddy it’s a pain (beejive let’s u do more stuff e.g. Change ur name) I’m doing this on my iPhone XD

  27. which one is the best for msn

  28. To: siddiqui
I say meebo is the best if u just wanna chat but if u wanna change ur name and add contacts and stuff like that then use beejive

  29. btw if u are connected to wi-fi it is completely free not a penny to pay

  30. Yeeeeah! Vincent Vega rules!

Anyways, FedEx just got here a couple of hours ago and left my Ipod Touch with the stupid manager who is not here by the moment… I’ll kill her.

I’ve tried Meebo in my computer and it rocks. But not sure about the touch.

I’ll have to wait the stupid manager to get into her stupid house to beat her stupid crap out of her and get my Ipod Touch… DAMN!

  31. salut cmoi tre bien itouch

  32. lol agreed, asker should follow this advice.

  33. heii i have i ipod touch and the best IM is iloveim.com

    xxx

  34. Does anyone know how to reply to or send an email to a hotmail account holder via mail.app on iPod? I can send/receive everything else, I can receive from hotmail accounts, but I cannot send to them without getting an “invalid email address” error.

    Thanks!
    Lisa

  35. If You Want to get On Msn Quickly Then Just Add Meebo , Beejive etc To Your Homescreen. Soo Much Quicker Than Goin On Safari All The Time .

  36. I’m afraid that’s not possible unless you cough up some money. Microsoft does not offer POP3 for free anymore. Even on a PC if you wish to use an email client with a msn, hotmail or windows live account you will have to use a Microsoft proprietary email client. I do believe they offer POP3 through their premium accounts which start at ~$20 a month. Check with Microsoft on this because I’m not entirely sure.

  37. Well. I have an iphone 3g in Venezuela and the phone’s great (I actually sold a BB curve 8310 to get this one). But there r no unlimited navigation plans. But anyways, everybody in ma’ country knows that movistar sucks big time. To answer the question here, I think beejive is just the best. It works like tye native msn messenger on BB, but, it still doesn’t support file trnsfer ( I forgot to mention I’m using the full version). On the other hand, palringo is free, and u can send pictures and record audio clips pike on your BB messenger, but u cant show a DIsplay picture and it doesnt show u your contact’s pics either. Let alone you dont have a landscape keyboard. So it’s a totla pain to write on it. My vote goes for BEEJIVE which has landscape keyboard. So it’s relly easy to IM on it. Thanks Beejive.
PS: you can’t configure your msn account on your iphone using POP3 unless u have a premium account or pay for apple’s mobilme. In the meantime, tell everyone to mail you at your gmail account which by the way has more storage on their free version. See ya’ll

  38. *0n ITS free version. And I think I meant no unlimited downloading or so, plan. Forgive my lousy texan english :$

  39. Mobile.live.com best site I’ve used!

  40. maybe the place where u are is as boring as having dinner with ur momma, and want to get away from it.

or maybe u live overseas and all ur family and childhood friends have msn and every now and then u like to talk to them

  42. I want like msn or face book for my ipod touch 3g but all apps for face book/msn an my friends ipodtouch is 1g an it download everything I don’t get why

  43. download the nimbuzz app from the app store its free and supports msn yahoo gmail skype myspacemessenger facebook chat and some other ones too. It doesnt show e-mail tho, its only IM.

[ENGLISH] if u want a kind of messenger in your ipod touch or iphone oorrr iphone 3g S u can’t find one in all websites because there isn’t one app of messenger. Maybe a hacker can make u one for your firmware of ipod touch or iphone.
THE EASY WAY TO DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT IS TO GO TO A WEBPAGE LIKE MEEBO SOMETHING LIKE THAT AND CLICK ON THE PLUS SIGN AND CHOOSE “ADD TO HOME SCREEN” AND THERE U GO. A KIND OF APP OF MESSENGER.

SORRY ABOUT MY ENGLISH BUT IS BECAUSE I’M FROM MEXICO AND I’M NOT THAT GOOD HAHA SORRY ABOUT THAT. 😐

NOTE: do it on your ipod touch or iphone. not on your computer.

    happy to help. 😀

  94. hello there, I just had an idea for MSN messenger app for iPhone, it wud very nice; with the new iOS 5 out, with the notification system that I really like, to notify users when someone in their contact list signs in, a small notification bar at the top of the screen when the user is using the iPhone, or a notification message on the screen if the user had his/her phone on standby.
I would very much like that idea to be applied to the messenger app, as it can be very useful to many users, including myself. And thank you in advance for taking the time to read my review,

    Regards

  95. Good

  96. hope this works

  97. Thanks

  98. I hope this app is good.
