My24 24 Hour Fitness review

Do you love going to the 24 Hour Fitness Gym? If you are member of the 24 Hour Fitness health clubs in the US, you will love the new official 24 Hour Fitness iPhone app called My24. The My24 iPhone app gives 24 Hour Fitness members everything they need on the go without needing to sit behind a computer including the all important class schedules for all clubs.

Use the full class schedule to find when your favorite instructor or exercise program is being held. Finding class schedules is broken down into full schedules, search by class or search by instructor. Let the app use your GPS location or enter a city and My24 will show you the latest class schedules for your favorite 24 Hour Fitness club.

Whether you’re in your local area or traveling, the iPhone app will be great to have handy on your iPhone. Now you can just open this app and find local 24 Hour Fitness clubs in your surroundings with the Club Finder tab. Search by nearest locations, city, or use the advanced search to narrow your results by club type. For example if you only want to find Sport, or Active clubs, you can do that there.

As an added bonus the My24 app also comes with a Body Mass Index calculator, calorie burner, daily calorie calculator, Resting Metabolic Rate, and instructional videos to learn more about groups exercise classes. The BMI calculator is basic and also stores historical data. Enter your workout times and intensity, and the app reports you calories burned. As you change your schedules, the app helps you keep a tab on your calorific needs with the daily calorie tool. The rest tool, shows you how many calories you burn when you’re not at the gym.

Video files are not part of the main app download, but streamed from the 24 Hour Fitness YouTube channel, which helps to keep the apps’ file nice and small at under 1MB.

One potential missing feature is the virtual membership card. It would be really great if the app was able to store a digital copy of your 24 Hour Fitness gym membership card so that when you walk in they would just scan your iPhone. Overall if you’re a member of the 24 Hour Fitness club, this free iPhone app is a no brainier. Its major strength comes in with mobile access to class schedules.
