It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia review

It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, is a soundboard iPhone app that plays clips of the characters’ quotes from FX Netowrks original TV show. Dennis, Sweet Dee, Frank, Charlie, and Mac are all in there. It’s unique because there isn’t anything out there that plays funny characters quotes from a widely known TV show. The graphics are sharp and totally recognizable from the show. The app loads fast and you can hear the quotes almost instantaneously. You will play with this app for a while, cause you can hit the characters over and over again to play their funny and witty quotes.

Once you’re done playing with the different characters and making them say their different quotes you can hit the “More Sunny” tab and move on to other things to do with the app. Here you can read Paddy’s Pub blog, buy some things from the Sunny Schwag Shoppe (this is just the FX Site), and read Sunny Tweets. The blog is from the show’s website and nice to be able to see on your phone, but they put a lot of clips of the show on there and that may not play from your iPhone. So you get some of the gist of the blog, but if there are videos about something, forget about it.

One neat feature of this app is the ability to send an audio shout out by dialing a phone number from your iPhone and leaving a voicemail on that number. Beware of the voicemail however, since there may be some fees associated with it. You’ll see exactly how much once you get your phone bill. But if you dare to leave a few voicemails, don’t be surprised if you hear them playing it on the show. The app also lets you view the show schedule and download iPhone wallpapers. Finally you can share the quotes by emailing them to your friends.

The app is free, so download it and play with it. It will obviously be right up your alley if you’re a fan of the show. It would be great to have this sort of iPhone app for other popular TV shows.
