QuikAdd Pro review

QuikAdd Pro is a social networking app that allows for you to add contacts quickly. It was developed by Roosher Inc. for an iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad and is completely free. From within the app you have the option to download and buy quikAdd Upgrade, which offers a few more features, for $0.99.

This app saves you time when entering in a new contact by including a drop down menu once you start typing in a person’s name. You can type “Pe,” and then you will get the options, Peter, Peggy, Pedro, Pearl, etc. and you can save time and typing by simply choosing one of the many options. Last names are a little trickier because every once in awhile you will get one like, “Paszterko,” that the app will not have provided for, but for the most part you will be meeting Parkers, Perezs, and Pengs which the app has stored. The app also includes a drop down for the company the person you met is affiliated with, so if you start typing in “Su” you can scroll down and choose “SureWest Communications,” for example. Once you have entered in a number and name, the app stores the day’s date under “met on” and you can choose from a list of nearby locations for the “met at” section. Another feature of this app is the easy transfer of contact information from your phone to a friend’s. With the free version you can only transfer the name and number of a contact but with the upgrade you can transfer all of the contact’s information. If you upgrade, you can use Settings to sign into your Facebook, Twitter, and Foursquare accounts, which allows you to share information with anyone who follows you on those networking sites, about who you just met and where.

Even though I am a more private person who hates shortcuts (what is wrong with me?) and this app would not serve any real purpose for me, I can appreciate its function. I have intensely social friends who thrive on connecting with people and sharing that with any and everybody. The bottom line is that this app can be a convenient and productive service for those who need it.
