Pigs VS Wolves review

Pigs VS Wolves is a Tower Defense game where you are protecting your pigs from a variety of wild Wolves, in a similar vain to the Plants vs. Zombies iPhone game. The game is played along 4 rows of oncoming enemy wolves with 7 boxes in each row for placing your characters. Choose from 15 characters as you defeat a combination of 11 evil wolves.

After each wave of Wolves is defeated a new type of enemy is added to the oncoming wolves, and you will also gain a new breed of pig fighter to add to your arsenal. To gain more fighters, you need gold coins which are generated from the piggy banks. There are 2 types of piggy banks, which generate gold coins, each costing either 30 or 100 coins themselves. Its vital to place as many piggy banks on the field as you can, to ensure you have enough coins to buy fighter pigs (generally on the first column). At the same time, you will have to have enough attacking pigs to kill incoming enemies. A third type of resource gives you the ability to slow down the wolves, like photographer piggies, pig status, and scare crows. As you go through the higher of 16 available levels, making these decisions quickly and precisely will become increasingly important.

From the 15 available pieces, you only take 7 of them with you to battle in each level. To choose which ones you want you tap them from the available items board, and see them appear on the bottom bar. During the game, your pieces can be erased from the board if needed, but you will not gain any coins from this action as it will basically sacrifice your investment in that piece.

You can play the game in either Classic Mode or Survival Mode in either Easy or Normal difficulty modes. The graphics in Pigs vs. Wolves are hand drawn, and very colorful, and the game is backed by a relaxing background music. If you’re a fan of the new school type TD games, Pigs vs. Wolves is a great choice, that is fun to play and will grow on you fairly quickly.
