Ant Wars SE review

Anybody who’s ever seen methodical lines of ants marching to do their duties can imagine the havoc and destruction that would happen if ants ever got big enough to threaten the world. In 3D Magic Kft.’s new iPhone game app, Ant Wars SE, you command an army of ants and try to wipe out enemy hives. You can choose to play either the Original Levels or the Special Levels (harder than the Original ones).

There are three ant types to choose from, each with vary levels of Speed, Propagation, and Agility. When the battlefield appears, your hive(s) and your enemies’ are marked with their corresponding flag colors; the number of ants in a hive are shown by a number next to the hive. Hives without a flag are empty. To attack your enemy or occupy an empty hive, tap your hive(s) and then the enemy or empty hive. Tap your own hives repeatedly to reinforce (or propagate). In order to start attacking, occupying, or reinforcing, your hive must have at least seven ants within it (the more ants in a hive there are, the faster the propagation). After you’ve taken out all the enemy hives, you move on to the next level. If you lose a level, you lose a life and will need to try that level again. The faster you win a level, the more points you receive.

The Ant Wars SE iPhone app is a great strategy game; the fact that it is based on real life only makes it more awesome. The concept of destroying the enemy is not new and simple, but the road to victory changes depending on what ant type and plan of attack you choose. It’s fast-paced, so you’re on your toes for a lot of the game. This game app is ultimately a very fun and exciting game app that you should pick up as soon as possible.
