Looking to save some money on your iPhone text messages? textPlus from GOGII is an app for the iPhone and iPod touch that lets you send and receive text messages for unlimited free with support for up to 4 people in a group conversation and full chat style dialogs. What’s the catch you ask? There is none! What’s more, textPlus now supports push notifications with iPhone 3.0 software, so you can get your iPhone or iPod touch text messages for free with popup alert notifications. textPlus send texts over WiFi which means even iPod touch users can start text messaging.

textPlus simulates a group chat mode, where everyone in the group gets every message. textPlus also provides a way to get message notifications via Regular Text. When switched to ON, these notifications are subject to standard msg rates based on your text message plan. If you have an unlimited text plan, you will not incur any costs. Or select Push Notifications for free alerts (3.0 required).

Carriers supported on the textPlus app are: AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile, Alltel, US Cellular, Virgin Mobile, Nextel, Boost, CellularOne, Dobson, nTelos, Cellular South, and CellCo.

    OKaaaay so i gotta question.. say someone doesn’t have an ipod touch or iphone or whatever you wannaa calll it, & they also don’t use textPLUS on their current carrier. can i still send messeges to them? could they send messeges to me first ?
