Here is another great iPhone app for when you’re out shopping for stuff. Ever wanna keep track of all the items you wanna buy at stores? The free Cyclops iPhone app can help you do that. Just use your iPhone camera to snap a picture of the barcode on any product packaging you find around the stores, and Cyclops scans the image and finds the product by matching the bar code against an online database.

Cyclops is great because its easy to use, and not too picky about what the photo must look like. Take a picture of the barcode, and Cyclops does the rest, identifying the item you are looking at and providing up to the minute product and pricing information. Identified product details even have a link to the product page on Amazon.

The only downside is if you don’t have the new iPhone 3GS camera with the 3.0 Megapixel camera you’re out of luck, because Cyclops doesn’t support older iPhone versions at this time.
