GazoPa is a similar image search service in private beta by Hitachi that is now available as a free iPhone app. Some of the cool and exciting things you can do with the GazoPa iPhone app are to match any photo, drawing or video still to other photos. To use the app just create a GazoPa account and log in. Then you can find images on the web that match any photo you have in your iPhone library, photo you take with the iPhone, or even a drawing that you make using the provided doodle functionality in the app.

GazoPa enables users to search for a similar image from characteristics such as a color or a shape extracted from an image itself. There are abundant quantities of images on the web, however many of these simply cannot be described by keywords. Since GazoPa uses image features to search other similar images, a vast range of images can be retrieved from the web. GazoPa is a new visual search service that can navigate users to new territories on the web. This is a great app that could be used in a variety of ways to explore what is out there on the web that matches what you have visually, quickly and easily on your iPhone. The possibilities are endless.
