For those of us who are chronic online shoppers, UPS has recently released an iPhone app called UPS Mobile. It is designed to help shoppers with their shipments, and can be used to quickly track shipments, even without logging in; as expected, there are more features available once you are logged in.
Without logging in, you can locate the nearest UPS Store or drop box by manually entering a zip code or using the iPhone’s built-in GPS. You can also get a quick quote (both cost and transit time) on a package; just have both origin and destination zip codes. Once you use you’re my UPS ID to log in, you can nickname your shipments and create shipment labels to email. You can also save your recent tracks and use saved shipping and payment preferences.
The USP mobile interface is not only very useful, but incredibly easy to use. The only real drawback is that when you are getting a quick cost quote, you cannot go back and use the information you’ve already entered to try to find the transit time as well; you have to enter your information in all over again. Other than that, this free app is worth the download if you’re constantly ordering merchandise or expecting packages.
This 3rd Party App is available at the Apple iTunes AppStore. Browse the full list of all AppStore apps filed under the AppStore category.
