As most of you know Google has not been shy about releasing iPhone optimized versions for almost all of its portal products by now. Everything from Picasa Web Albums, Google Reader, Google Notebook, Google Docs to its flagship products of Google Search and Gmail.
Today Google has released iGoogle for iPhone and iPod touch. iGoogle is the personal Google portal allowing you to customize your own page by choosing amongst hundreds of content boxes called gadgets. Going to http://www.google.com/ig/i automatically shows you the iPhone version of iGoogle.
The iGoogle site looks great on the iPhone and leverages most of the Ajax functionality that mobile Safari offers iPhone users. You can create different tabs on iGoogle which show up in a drop down menu on the iPhone version.
The only issue we see with iGoogle on the iPhone arises from the lack of Flash support on the iPhone, you get a little Lego block icon instead. So you won’t be able to use the hundreds of iGoogle gadgets that use Flash, at least until Apple and Adobe find a way to add Flash support to the iPhone.
Note: You need to have a Google account and sign in to see the iPhone version. Try with TestiPhone
