1Passwd 2.5

1Passwd is a unique password manager that integrates directly within your web browser. This allows you to access your web passwords when you need them without ever needing to switch applications, and never needing to copy-n-paste! 1Passwd runs on Macs.

The new beta 2.5 version of 1Passwd has added a “Sync to iPhone” feature which will export all your 1Password data to an encrypted Safari Bookmarklet, which can then be used on the iPhone (or iPod Touch) to access all your information. Everything is encrypted with 448-bit Blowfish with Cipher Block Chaining (CBC) and randomized salt. After syncing you will see the new bookmark in Safari. Tapping the bookmark will open a page asking for your Access Code. If the password was correct, you will be shown your standard 1Password sections. In a few days you can download the official 2.5 version via automatic updates in 1Passwd.

This software is for Mac Users only. The full version costs $29.95.

For now you can get the new beta version from the forums here

DROP that price. $30 is way to high and few people are going to support such a high cost. Start it off at $9.99 and when you reach 1,000 sales raise it to $14.99, etc.

Don’t trip yourself up before you get out of the gate.

The 30 dollar price is for the full blown 1Password application. Sync to iPhone is a very popular feature, but it is only one feature of the overall product.

Be sure to checkout the demo movie to see what else 1Password is capable of:

The export to iPhone is just another feature that does not cost anything to current 1Passwd license holders. (of which there are a LOT more than 1000) :)

the details as to where the passwords are actually stored would be nice. Do they sit on my phone or on your server?
