The NASA folks have released a free iPhone app that shows you NASA missions, images, videos and twitter updates. The NASA app is loaded with a ton of quality photos, and videos that you can view on your iPhone. While the app itself is only 1.4MB in size the content must be getting pulled from online server, which probably means you will need to be online to use this app.

Browse through all the NASA missions and filter them or search by keyword. In addition to photo and video updates, you can also read breaking news from the NASA twitter feed direct from NASA users.

So if you are looking for a compelling range of dynamically updated information, images and video links from the U.S. Space Agency, in your iPhone or iPod touch, the NASA iPhone app is a clear winner.
