Dog Park Finder Plus review

If you or anyone you know is a dog owner, then Dog Park Finder Plus, a search app, is right up your alley. It was developed by Tech Wanderings Consulting for an iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad and costs $0.99. There is a free version of the app offered, but it has less information and features. If you decide to purchase the Plus version be aware that 15% of the proceeds from this app is donated to Adopt-A-Pet.com. You can use Dog Park Finder to find a dog park anywhere in the United States.

The app allows for you to search from 5,000 parks, beaches, and hiking trails where dogs are permitted to romp. You can search by entering in a zip code or city and state, or you can browse by state and city. If you are trying to find a dog park by your home you would probably be best suited entering in your zip code but if you are going out of town with your pet and you are curious about availability of dog friendly playing areas in the particular city you are visiting then you might try to browse by city.

If you are going to Bowling Green, KY you can browse Kentucky then look under Bowling Green. There appears to only be one dog park in the area called Hills Bark Park. Once you find the park on the map, you can hit the red pin to find out more information on the park. The app provides you with the address, directions, type of park—whether it is fenced and if your dog will need to be leashed—if there are restrooms or fees, whether or not you can hike, who the park is managed by, and any notes on the facility. You can also read reviews, share the information with friends, or email the monitors of the app to report on that specific dog park.

I found this app to be highly useful. For 1 dollar you get unlimited access to locations you can take your dog to get some fresh air and exercise. Using the app takes away the frustration and dead ends that you would encounter from a Google search and a portion of your purchase is donated.
