Description

(NEED A HINT? In case you get stuck, HINTS are available for free from the website at www.nerdbeach.com. And if you are truly stuck or unsure how to proceed, please feel free to contact us for further assistance.)

You are on a drive home from the airport, anxious to see family. You take a shortcut you know only too well, and suddenly the rented vehicle dies. With no other choice, you start walking. But a sudden pounding rainstorm forces you to take shelter, and you head for an abandoned mansion. Before you know it, you are trapped. This is not your day - you must now escape from RAVING MANOR!

Raving Manor is a cross between a classic adventure game and a graphic novel. You must go through the manor, finding objects and clues that might help you with your escape, pitting your wits against the unknown. Will you find your way out?

Only time will tell, but everything you do is presented to you in a stylish manner. The game is designed to be friendly in a pick up and play manner, automatically saving progress in case life interrupts the adventure. The game also incorporates built in notes, allowing you to keep track of your predicament as you explore the haunted halls of Raving Manor.

As most people familiar with the Adventure Game genre already know, this is not an arcade type game but fun and challenging nonetheless. You can lose yourself within the not so hallowed walls of the Good Doctor's abode - as he did himself...

Raving Manor has been updated with version 1.4 to include support for Retina screens if the hardware supports it. The game also now has sound, making it more fun than ever to play.

Raving Manor is supported by both the website NerdBeach.com and email. In case the going gets too rough (the dear departed doctor may have left things in a bit of a disarray), hints are available on the website.

Impressive

Haven't gotten very far into the game yet, but so far, i'm liking what i'm seeing. A laid back adventure style where you have to use your head to escape the manor by using objects you find thru out the house. So far the puzzles dont seem to be the type that are so obscure you need a walk thru to get past, which has always frustrated me to the point of giving up. Good job Devs!!

A lot of potential if...

First let me say I'm really enjoying this game so far. It's completely different from other strategy/puzzle apps
available presently. I like that there's no music. Although for atmospheres sake it might be fun (scary?) to
have sounds like the creaking noises etc. But perhaps only as an option that can be turned off.
Now is where I say why this didn't receive 5 stars: If you accidently drop an item it will not still be where it
fell. If you drop an item by mistake it will not go back to where you originally found it, which would have
made the most sense. Your only option is to write in your notes where and what you found. But that really
defeats the point of an inventory. Luckily I didn't drop an item I "made" like the shovel, but my guess
is the same thing would happen to it. I hope this can be fixed with an update. The other problem
is there is no starting screen to return to. Because I "lost" my items I had no choice but to delete
the game from my ipod (I decided to write this review before I put if back on my ipod) instead of starting over.
I really think this game has potential to be great with just a few improvements & I truly hope that
this is just one of many more like it to become available in the very near future!!

Go "stark raving mad"

I found this game to be a challenge, which I so miss in most games anymore, but you don't have to be a rocket scientist to play the game either. I loved the story and detail and don't want to give anything away so I'll stop here. I will just say that I highly recommend 'Raving Manor'. Job well done!
