Volley is a great volleyball game for the iPhone that stars two round headed players, one on either side, sliding and jumping across the screen, bouncing a yellow ball off their heads, and over the net. Volley for the iPhone is an improved version of the old school game, SlimeVolley. The first player to get 6 points wins the level. There are 16 levels in the Volley iPhone game, and each level is quite challenging.
It will take you some getting used to, before you can control both the slide and jumping action with your left and right hands simultaneously. By default you use the left side of the screen to slide your player and tap the right side to make him jump. The game is challenging because of the rounded heads of the players, making the direction of the ball’s movement very sensitive to having precise placement and accuracy. Volley boasts slick graphics and old school style sound effects, and challenging gameplay that should have you playing for hours at a time. Some of the other options include, switching out the jump/slide hotspots, and the endless game mode. The game does not have multi-player support at this time.
