Even the game menus emphasize the evolution theme. You can even build levels from your music.
Represented as an evolutionary tree of life, the menu develops new branches as new capabilities and systems evolve. Space Invaders Infinity Gene also makes full use of iPhone OS 3.0′s capabilities, featuring an innovative iTunes library support feature allowing users to play original stages with the music in their iPhone or iPod touch.
The game can get blisteringly difficult and will eventually take a bit of maneuvering to get past tougher levels. But if you are looking for a challenging and old school style shooter game, Space Invaders from Taito for the iPhone is a definite winner.
