MouthOff review

MouthOff is a funny little iPhone app that renders animated mouths on your iPhone as you speak behind the iPhone. The graphics and various mouths are digital and feature all sorts of cartoon style variations. The app responds to the built in iPhone app and dynamically moves the onscreen mouth. MouthOff comes with a bunch of different mouths including 37 cartoon mouths, 12 top illustrators, hundreds of user vids, and a lot of laughs! Get MouthOff™ on your iPhone and make life a little sweeter by using it to express yourself! Hold your iPhone in front of your mouth and talk, shout, laugh, scream or sing to get the mouth of your choice to animate in time with the sounds you make.

There are some Halloween mouths called “Helloween”, and the Original Mouths, plus Signature moths. MouthOff only works the 2nd gen iPod Touch with attached headphones with the built in mic. You might have seen the Microsoft commercials or Android ads that try to make fun of the iPhone and its apps by using an app similar to MouthOff aimed at demonstrating why iPhone apps are not good for anything useful. But its all in good fun and worth a look if you’re into having some goofy fun on your iPhone and probably a fun app for the younger ones in your family.

Ustwo, the developers of the MouthOff app have a nice collection of user submitted show off videos on their website. You can upload your own funny video to YouTube if you wish and it will get listed on their website.
