Sometimes a little outside help is needed to guide you through your day; for some people, that comes in the form of astrology and horoscopes. sanposuru.com’s iPhone app, DailyAstro, can be the everyday pocket-counselor you need–all you require for this form of spiritual guidance is Internet connection. Upon launch, all 12 astrological signs are displayed; choose yours to read your horoscope (for those that are less astrologically-savvy, labels underneath the icons may help). Along with whatever information you might need today are projections for your emotions, money handling, wellness, and your Power Numbers. You can ensure that your sign is the one that pops up automatically by tapping the star button on the top left; the envelope button on the top right can be used to email yourself the horoscope. Slide your finger along the bottom of the screen to change signs.

DailyAstro’s graphics lean more towards cartoony rather than cute or sophisticated, which keeps the fun of checking one’s horoscope well intact. The opening menu and the sliding menu at the bottom are a bit laggy, so you’ll need a little patience before receiving guidance. It also only provides the bare minimum: your horoscope or general outlook for the day. Not surprising, since this iPhone app is wonderfully free, so if bare minimum is all you’re looking for, DailyAstro is for you. There’s so much more an astrology app can provide, such as weekly or monthly projections, or specialized horoscopes about different aspects of life (love, money, etc.)…but this is a suitable substitute for those who scan newspaper or magazine horoscopes; people who take astrology a tad more seriously may not be satisfied with this iPhone app. On the plus side, its a free app so you can try it out without any risk and see for yourself.
