iGmail is a Ruby on Rails application that gives you a simple view on your Gmail inbox, formatted to match the iPhone’s native applications. Why iGmail and not Gmail itself? The developer claims that if you are in AT&T EDGE networks, it is too slow to load the page. Even if you are using WiFi, it’s still slow to load and compile huge Gmail javascript file.
You can try iGamil yourself directly using their demo installation, however keep in mind that you’re giving your Google ID and password to a third party. Since this ia a Ruby on Rails application, you need a web server that can run Ruby applications to run it on your own. To get the source code and install it yourself head over to the iGmail project website to get started.Try with TestiPhone

This app doesn’t work for me in my iPod Touch. Doesn’t work on TestIPhone:
The page loads and then, redirect me on standard gmail.
That’s stupid, so i think there’s a bug
I’ve to be patient because this app looks pretty cool!

To use it personally I would recommend you download the code and install it on your own server. You can always use Gmail from your iPod touch.
